Create a world-class digital experience that captures the pulse of the brand while building an emotional connection with their most avid consumers.
Approach
We looked to inject storytelling into the site experience while celebrating their product innovation and global expeditions. We developed a responsive site concept with a design aesthetic that featured visceral outdoor imagery and simplified UI to allow the digital destination to create the feeling of stepping into nature itself. TheNorthFace.com was designed to be the first step in your next adventure.
Navigation and typography was designed to be non-obtrusive and minimal to further create an immersive experience. Predictive search quickly served up product or shoppable story inspiration. Localized backend services tailored the experience to the user by showcasing relevant products based on their current weather conditions and navigation patterns.
Activities pages were designed to help explorers plan, prepare and gear up for their next adventure. Stories, insights and tips from world class explorers were woven contextually into the experience to serve as motivation and inspiration.
Quickview modules lived across the site from PDPs to CDPs for shopping ease. The North Face ambassadors' expeditions were turned into immersive, seasonal shoppable video experiences.
